Book Review: The Facts of Life: Shattering the Myths of Darwinism

Author: Richard Milton
Spiritual Bias: Non-christian
Origins Bias: Alludes to potential existence of an "Organizing Force"
Rating: Caveat Emptor
Level: Basic

Comments: The author puts forth a survey of information that seems to contradict the theory of evolution. There's some good stuff here but also there's some shaky material presented. One example of the "shaky" material presented is as follows. Milton refers to the Moon Dust problem as one evidence that our solar system could perhaps be young. This evidence has been refuted for years and I'm very surprised that it showed up in this book published during the 90s. Because of the presence of this type of information I have given this book a rating of Caveat Emptor.

Sample Quote: "At first the lack of missing links could be put down to the fact that much of the world remained unexplored and Darwin himself expressed the hope that further exploration would turn up the missing fossils. But he hope gradually fade until it became clear that paleontology had accumulated an almost unmanageably rich collection of specimens but that the fossil record nevertheless continued to be made up mainly of gaps"
