Book Review: Show Me God: What the Message from Space is telling us about God

Author: Fred Heeren
Spiritual Bias: Christian
Origins Bias: Old Earth Creationist
Rating: Top Shelf
Level: Advanced

Comments: This is the first of four books in a series that Fred Heeren has put together on the topic of Origins. As the title of this book suggests this work covers the evidence for a Creator based upon the discoveries made within the scientific fields of Astronomy and Astrophysics. This book extensively covers the historical and present evidence for a Big Bang and also explains why this theory is very consistent with the Biblical genesis of the Universe. He also spends a great deal of time discussing the apparent fine-tuning of the universe. If you're interested in the space sciences and origins you will like this book.

Summary Quote: "[O]bservational evidence from astronomy also clearly indicates that the universe is expanding. The scientific consensus is that the expansion points back inescapably to a time when all the bodies in the universe had a common origin in time and space. Such an origin is impossible without an Originator. As we will see, there has never been a time in history when humankind has had such an unmistakable message from space to tell us that there is a Supernatural Creator. And the message doesn't stop there."
